NoddytheBoltonBlue (17/10/2006) I thought we couldn't re-name as we didn't own the ground? So any re-naming wouldn't go to line our own pockets?I think you could be right. The complexities of our deal with the council may mean we wouldn't see a penny. Or have a say in what it actually gets named? If this deal is between the spnsor and the council, we won't have a say at all. great - so it could be called anything - 'The Anne Summers Arena' - and we wouldn't be able to change it

| | I thought Eidos were very near skint. Can't see them stumping up cash to name a stadium. Wouldn't be surprised if it were though.

| Why why why? City of Manchester Stadium is great, it makes it sounds like it is THE stadium of Manchester, something the rags can't have! I don't want some shitty company name. I tell you what i would like, a video scoreboard. Or "Manchester City" written accross the seats. Never happen though will it.
