On a positive note, hopefully this little lad will have a far better chance in life rather than rotting in an orphanage.
Yes, but as I said, if it really was a humanitarian decision, she would have provided facilities for the orphanage to help everyone there. As I said, it just stinks of PR.
Madonna has set up a charity and others in the country will benefit. There is no doubt that the child, who is the most important person in all of this, will benefit from the adoption.
However, is her charity work carried out on the condition she gets what she wants? Why was she able to adopt without following local laws and regulations. Will the UK authorities ensure that she submits to all their regulations (social worker visits etc). Did she seek and recieve approval from the UK authorities before the adoption took place? Talking from experience, anyone seeking to make a foreign adoption must have approval from their own country first. This is a lengthy process and can take years. This perceived flouting of regulations because she is a wealthy celebrity gives adoption, and in particular foreign adoption, a bad name.
