Freddy just turned 18 in June... but yeah, he's been hyped since he was 13 or 14. All players being hyped at young age are burned out at 26-27. See Ronaldinho. C. Ronaldo, Nani, Messi and Rooney will follow. At the other hand players who breaked through at (say) 24/25 (Van Nistelrooy, Henry, A. Alves) will survive longer in football. It's hilarious those YouTube movies from little boys (9, 10 years old) who are presented as the new 'Ronaldinho'. Nothing is being said about their mental development. IMHO one of the most important skills to achieve a top star status in football. Ronny's burned out, eh? Watch the Barca match today?
