tha bassman (15/09/2006)
whippinpicidilly (14/09/2006) thanks for the oyster band recommendation bassman, gonna put that one in, as for the other suggestions, is it ok if I pass BB & PB?As much as i like the Oyster Band song, i'm not entirely sure that a lot of people would start dancing at a wedding to it. but Cotton Eyed Joe would pull em up I've no doubt it would. |

| When I got married, (for the first time), I got chatting to the two DJ's as they were setting up. It became apparent that they did wedding just for a bit of extra cash, and they're 'proper jobs' were holding underground House gigs. They flew over to Detroit every couple of months to buy the latest tunes and had a load of them with them. Obviously my eye's lit up and I suggested that they play as many as they could. You should have seen the look on the guests faces when they kicked off!! Suffice to say I got a proper bollocking of me wife and me mum and dad, and before you knew it the blow up guitar was out and Status Quo were filling the fucking dance floor.

| Bit slow, but Lost Together by Blue Rodeo was our wedding song.
Also, Anniversary Song - Cowboy Junkies
Viva Las Vegas - Elvis
and if you can find it
Old Black Rum - Great Big Sea (might only be for drunk Nova Scotians)
"One chicken masala, how about 4? All my lyrics are HARDCORE!" |
