| You guys are all very optimistic then. In my opinion the team are offering very little in the way of anything for the fans. No goals, half chances, lack-lustre performances, no passion...its not a great time at the mo being a City fan. I think.

| Stuart Pearce was unhappy with Manchester City's lack of creativity against Sheffield United. The Eastlands boss had hoped to see off the newly promoted outfit, but City were forced to settle for a point in a drab draw. Pearce took positives from another home clean sheet but has acknowledged his charges must improve in the future. "There was no creativity from either side," explained Pearce. "We didn't have enough creativity today. "On the run of play, neither side deserved to win or lose. The odd chance was missed at both ends. "Neil will be happier than I will be. I'm happy with a clean sheet. I'm happy Joe Hart made his first appearance. "I think today was one of those days where we wanted to win a match. "We know we have to be better than what he showed today. Our football was not clinical." So SP obviously knows what we are lacking but will there be funds available to address the problem in January? I hate the transfer window; jacked-up prices and the added difficulty of a player trying to settle into a new team half-way through a season. Then there's the problem of who is actually out there to buy?

| I thought the idea of buying Hamman was to add someone with a good eye for a pass? Allardyce must be laughing his arse off
