| | Bit harsh IMO ESM. We are always saying we want to be kept informed about all aspects of the club including finances. This interview was given to the MCFC official podcast and does just that. I think it is to be applauded that our club speaks out like this. Of course he has used it as an opportunity to try to sell our club but what is wrong with that? The real positive for me is the comments that we are never going to be in a position to sell our ground and so new potential investors are not people who will be looking to make a quick buck by asset stripping. |

It's not so much the message that I've got an issue with, it's Mackintosh himself. What the hell does this bloke do? So far the results from his jollies to Russia, the US and the far east have got us exactly nowt. IF the club is such a bloody fantastic opportunity for investment, why the fuck is it crappy clubs like West Ham, Pompey, Villa and even bleeding Hearts that see the money men walk in?

| | Maybe we are just being a bit more fussy with our investors? At the end of the day we all want investment but not at any cost. The investment has to be right for MCFC. I would sooner have no investment than have somebody come in and ruin all that MCFC stands for. |

I think it's a risk we may have to take at some stage. What we don't want is an investor that has to borrow the money against the club, or a total control freak like that nutter at Hearts.

| Cloudy O'Reyna (12/10/2006) Or we could just try to earn our success?Could be a long, long wait then. I don't want a Chelsea'esque type of coup, in a way it wouldn't feel like MY club anymore. What would be nice is to have the financial backing that means that when the likes of Chelsea come knocking, A, we can afford to tell them to fuck off at any price, and B, the players themselves can see that City have ambition and the means to achieve it.

| as per usual City find themselves between a rock and a hard place. We need outside investment but without the ground the money men are not going to be interested. Now, while this keeps us safe from all the financial nasties out there it also means that investors will steer clear of us and look at more attractive options - ie clubs that own their own grounds.

| If they'd have said I wouldn't have just spent £5.36 on lunch, I could have been an investor.
