| | George and he should get along beautifully. Greeks and Cypriats are great friends. That aside, he did play well against RoI, need to see more to make an honest answer as to what I think of him.

| | If I remember, this guy used to play for Ajax but never really made it there. Will he really be an improvement? |

| | Here's a profile of him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michalis_Konstantinou A great striker in the Greek and Cypriot leagues but once again unproven at the highest level and the last thing we want is a misfiring striker. If he did score a lot for us though then it would be a bargain. I'd trade him for Corradi!!! |

| | Konstantinou is a striker of fantastic talent. The money that we (Panathinaikos) paid for him to come from Iraklis in 2001 was the biggest transfer fee ever spent in the Greek league I believe. He was prolific for Iraklis and for us in his first season. After that he was a bit quiet (as he drew 2 markers per match) but he always did exceptionally well in the Champions League and scored some excellent goals including an absolute stunner against Barcelona before they cheated us out of a semi-final spot in collusion with that damn ref. He came back into top form during 03/04 but was overshadowed by our current captain, Dimitris Papadopoulos, mainly because Pap was scoring and Mixali was making the assists and drawing the defenders. He must have made about 10-15 assists that year and scored a few himself, him and Pap were absolutely lethal. In 04/05 he was exceptional. He scored many goals and played extremely well throughout the whole season. He continued to be a big game player, he had a liking for scoring against Olympiakos, he scored against them in the derby in 03/04, the cup final in 03/04 and again in the derby of 04/05. He was a die hard Panathinaikos supporter as a kid but since our president has overseen the destruction of a team that made the quarter finals of the Champions League and won a league and cup double, Konstantinou was not offered a contract at the end of 04/05 and had no choice but to go to the scum in Pirea, Olympiakos. With Olympiakos he had a shit first season but has come back into form this season. He has done well again in the Champions League but Olympiakos are the sluts of Europe and so his goals can't help his current team. He was one of my personal favourite players during his time at PAO. He is tall, very strong and he is exceptional at playing with his back to goal. He can play as a target man or as a normal forward so he can play with a partner in a 4-4-2, the peak of a 4-3-3 and the top of a 4-5-1. He is great with the ball at his feet for a big guy and has a fantastic head, shot and he distributes well around the box. He has the physique for the EPL and would do exceptionally well in your league. Also for me, I can start liking him again if he moves to your club, I can't do that now so snap him up quickly! I really recommend Mixalaki EDIT: Sorry, also how can you say that he is unproven at the highest level. His best performances are in the Champions League and in derby games with the best teams in Greece. Are you saying that EPL is a higher level then the Champions League? |

| He sounds promising then. I said he hasn't proved it at the top level because he has only played in the Greek and Cypriot leagues, which are good just not the best in Europe, but I didn't realise he did so well in the Champions League. I take away my earlier statement then What I really meant was it might take him awhile to adapt to the English game. |

| | Yes he scored against Mallorca, Schalke, one against Sparta Prague away, two against Sparta Prague at home then a great one against Barca in the quarter before the scum bought the match. All those were in 01/02. He was injured for much of 02/03 and Olisadebe and Lyberopoulos were killing it. After Lybe left and Mixalaki recovered, he was back and he scored against Stuttgart and Rangers in 03/04 CL. In 04/05 he scored against Rosenborg and that's it. His average results in the Champions League in 03/04 and 04/05 were as a result of our president getting rid of all the members of the side that lost to Olympiakos 1-4 in 02/03. There is now one member of that team left, that same team made the QF of the CL so as you can see our management is retarded. The only thing I see Mixali getting used to in England is the speed, and I think he will manage very well if you get him. He might be a couple of million pounds though and he is under contract until the end of next season. Do you guys have that kind of money? |

| That's a fairly comprehensive run-down, but my favourite bit is the part about Olympiakos being "the sluts of Europe"! What a great description of your team.
