Danny's Studs (22/07/2007)
Lords of Samaras(22/07/2007)
The picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde.

I started this book and found it too much, didnt finish. Too many complex characters, too many poeople talking in a thoroughly annoying fashion, too much description of scenes and of mens' clothes. Overall, way, way too verbose.

I realise he is a genius but will have to try another of his books if I am to acquire a taste of his style.

His short stories are really good, if you fancy something a bit less ploddy.

I've just finished "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things" by JT Leroy - not exactly laugh a minute stuff but it was very thought-provoking. Don't know what to read next, I've got 3 or 4 books lying around that I've started and didn't get into so I ditched them, maybe I'll give one of them another go.

Dorian Gray was alright. Crime and Punishment was a tough read but worthwhile. Notes from the Underground was excellent. Post Office (as I always state) is my favourite book of all time

I agree 100% about Crime and Punishment.  Haven't read Post Office so may look in to that.

Just finished this:

Wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it, but wouldn't advise against not reading it either, I'd rate it as so-so.

Just about to start this:

Eat, drink and be Benny.
