emigre (03/04/2008)
Danny's Studs (03/04/2008)
You and I have similar tastes Emigre, just about to start The Road by Cormac...you read that? Let me know what you think of The Crossing.

And by the way: No Country FOM was a magic read, as was Stalin' Ghost.

Loving 'The Crossing' so far. Got 'No Country for Old Men' sitting on the shelf ready to be read next.

You will not be disappointed. Enjoy.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

Cloudyshin O'Watra (19/03/2008)

About a third the way through this and so far not really enjoying this much.

The two or three page chapter style that seemed so good in "Curious Incident" is just plain irrititating in this an adult novel. I keep thinking if you've got a story to tell, just get on and tell ffs!

So, did you enjoy this in the end Cloudy?

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

I've banned him Danny.

Been on the cards for a while tbh but this was the last straw.

I think you should ban the person who recommended the book to you.
