| Paddington Blue (04/09/2007) i liked papillon. i reckon he lies a bit though. He must be an angel or summat cos there isn't anyone who doesn't like him and he makes breaking out of prisons look like going for a few pints down your local. Or has he just blocked the hellish bits out of his mind. I'm just at the bit where he's left his two indian wives.

| | i think i blocked that bit out of my mind, although i did read it over ten years ago. and to be fair to TGG, i have read the first 20 pages and i really want to know what happens, but with papillon it took me months to read as i wasnt too interested and was reading other books at the same time.

TGG is a bit predictable. Contains one of the best lines ever though: "And he knew that when he kissed this girl...his mind would never romp again like that of the mind of God"

"The Hunger" a 1983 movie starring Bowie and Catherine DeNeuve. Not the adaptation of this particular book though.....
