| | YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES! I am in 70s Hard Rock Heaven! Journey - Don't Stop Believing News last updated: 26-02-2008 back to news Legendary rockers 'Journey' have just announced a special show in Dublin’s National Stadium 25 June, nearly 30 years after their musical adventure began! Tickets €52.80 incl booking fee on sale now. Famed these days for the resurgence in popularity of their 1981 hit ‘Don’t Stop Believing’, Journey are embarking on a new Journey with a new lead singer Arnel Pineda. He replaces Jeff Scott Soto, who parted ways with the band in 2007 after stepping in for Steve Augeri, who had to leave the band in 2006 for medical reasons. Last year, the hit song charted on the Irish Top 20 single Chart after it was used in the final scene of The Sopranos. Before this, ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ made appearances in The Wedding Singer, Monster, Shrek, Scrubs, and appeared on both Family Guy and Laguna Beach in the same week. Also the song was used during the opening sequence of the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards and a campaign video for Hillary Clinton. JOURNEY are Neal Schon ( guitar ), Jonathan Cain ( keyboards ), Ross Valory ( bass ), Deen Castronovo ( drums ) and new lead singer, Arnel Pineda. Schon adds, “We feel reborn. I think there’s a lot of chemistry between the five of us. At first we were going to go into the studio and just write 4 songs, but now it’s escalated to a lot of great new and diverse material. The stuff sounds tremendous. Everyone’s so stoked about it. We feel very fortunate to have found Arnel.” JOURNEY is currently working on a new album with legendary producer Kevin Shirley, which they hope to release by spring/summer 2008.
