Stumbling is more manly than flouncing anyway.

obviously i have no idea what was said by DB and if he is against the takeover fair play to him as he was good for us.  However there are alot of people who run our club who have great affection for it e.g. Wardle, Mackin, Lee, Summerbee, Tuart and they all appear to be greatly in favour of the takeover, i honestly don't believe they would fuck the club over for a few quid.

From a personal point of i look at city and the last few years have been terrible, we have played poor quality football and signed bad players, now we are on the crest of getting possibly the most successful manager city have ever had, plus a hell of alot of money to spend on some really good players and i think we should take the risk and go for the takeover.  Worse case scenario it all goes to shit but city are not like Scarbourgh we have a massive fan base and are a huge club, we will never go bust, someone will always bail us out. City should be up near the top of the league and this Thai guy is the only realistic chance of this happening.

I kind of agree with all that. Sometimes i think fuck it, go for broke and if it all goes to shit then oh well, we'll go with a bang. But then i realise that's not the City way. That's not the City attitude. We're so much more than that. But i honestly don't think many more seasons like the last one. I mean if i had to i would.

If we're a success under Thaksin and Sven though, how long before we are all priced out of games? Will it go that way? Success pushing up prices?

yeah i agree its a worry, even now city are far too expensive, 39 quid to watch the derby?  Terrible.  I'm just being selfish i think, all i want is just one good year in the premier league where we are pushing for the top six!  Then take every year as it comes, if the prices go up we can protest then

is he though? there must be somebody else out there. if it means a warnock or a coleman for a year then why not take that and keep our club ours. if we do that then its still in our hands. it'll still be a plc. no matter if the allegations against frank are true or not, this controversy isnt going to go away whilst he is there. if we keep him under the 75% we still have our club, as you say somebody will bale us out, we shouldn't be as weak as we are in this market. a club with a fanbase as big as ours will have a lot of emotional shares for birthdays or christmases or whatever, we still have a chance to say no and wait. all it means is we dont get sven. we look for a new owner and we struggle. we're taking the easy way out here, and in doing so we're losing our club.

I'm not sure about this losing our club argument.  I don't think the club at the moment give a shit about people like us. Its a PLC true but Wardle and Mackin run the show, they don't listen to anyone else.  From a personal point of view i see no difference in the Thai guy or the current board being in charge.
