Brilliant. That's very good for you. The thing is, he's a big signing in terms of name, but I'm not sure of his qualities as a footballer anymore. Apart from constantly trying to recreate the 'le tournoi' free kick, he can't get up and down the wings as he used to.

What's the standard of football like in Turkey? I don't even really know who the top team is anymore. Still Fenerbahce? How's Kiki Musampa been doing for Trabzonspor?

Kiki couldn't find a place in first 11 and may be sent at this summer. Fenerbahce is the champions of this season and it's the best team in the country. Football in Turkey is slow and it's tough and more dependant on technique but not comparable to Spain or Brazil of course. Carlos is really a big transfer on the sheet and we'll see him as a player on the pitch. 1 or 2 weeks before he scored a crucial goal at 90th minute. Hope he continues to score like that

Yeah I saw that goal. Little dink in the last minute - very nice. I really really want Real to have this title, because Barca were too complacent, in the CL, and La Liga, and as the supposed best team in the world they might end up with no trophies since they got knocked out of the cup a few months ago.

Poor Kiki. I really liked him. I'd still take him back now, if his club would be interested.

Is it not a bit of a shock for you, as a supporter of City? Going from a table topping team, to rubbish/perrenial underachievers City must be a bit strange. Do you need a bit of defeat to temper Fenerbahce's success, because we've got that in spades.

Actually, my friends are asking me the same question But, I just love the colours and the hope and the chance of making a good progress is important to me. However as I've seen the mood of the fans are desperate, I just feel that City can make it. For example, with good transfers we can force top 6 or 8. Richards, Onuoha and Sturridge are some young guys who give me hope for the future. Also, the Keegan era was really great. Goater, Berkovic, Wanchope, Wright-Phillips they were really playing nice football. Hope we can reach those days again. And for Fenerbahce, we are desperate in Europe as you are for Premier League The national league isn't so important for us because we really improved as a club financially. Whatever, City is in my heart and I hope someday I can see the team is doing well. Even, if it doesn't I'll be happy because it helped me to feel it, to hope. Btw, I'm not very romantic as I wrote...

Don't worry about success. If it comes, it'll be brilliant, but it's not too likely, particularily at this point, and I don't think it's worth thinking about. Certainly not with any expectation. Hope is the best you can ask for at any given point, as a City fan, I reckon.

The last bit is pretty romantic imo. I think that's spot on. We're not the kind of club destined to dominate, or meant for success, but for me that's part of the appeal, in some stupid way. The other thing is that I don't think we're meant for failure either. We're a club of near misses I think. I do want us to do well, but at the expense of becoming a faceless corporate entity like Man United are? It's not worth it if you lose what makes the club what it is. That's a load of bollocks I've just said, but somewhere in there is what I think.

I'm reading a good book at the moment about Man City which might be worth reading if you're interested. It's been mentioned on here before a few times, but it's fairly recent and I've really enjoyed it. Lows, Highs and Balti Pies, it's called, and my favourite thing about it is how clearly the writers dislike of United comes through.
I think it's worth getting if you ever see it.

I hated United because of Cantona and Roy Keane for the first time. Now Rooney and Ronaldo(despite i respect them they both are good players). Seems like a destiny I would want to read the book but I guess can't find it in Turkey. Whatever, the subject was Roberto Carlos

And if I have to confess i laughed loudly when i saw your nick for the first time

Yeah, I've wrecked your thread haven't I? Sorry. He will be a good signing I would think.
Have you seen Olympiakos have got rid of Rivaldo? I can't believe it, and he's stunned, because he was supposed to be their best player last season. I think he could still do a good job in any league. I'd take him at City like a shot, even if he is old. Would he be good for Fenerbahce on a free or is he past it do you think?
Sorry. I do think RC will be a good player. I won't talk about nything else than that after this.
