| Oldham have been to see the jailed ex West Brom striker Lee Hughes and have offered him a two year deal if he gets parole this August - don't know what to think about this - on the one hand hughes will be ut and served his time - but does he deserve another chance to play at a pro level ?

| Maybe he should've got longer but he didn't and now he's done his time. Should be allowed to do whatever job he can get I'd have thought.

| As with anyone else, when he gets out he is entitled to look for a job if anyone will have them. Oldham are fully aware of his conviction and seem willing to go for him regardless. The length of his sentence is an entirely separate issue, but neither Oldham nor Hughes are responsible for that.

Should be some interesting chants from the terraces though.

To be honest, I'd completely forgotten Hughes even existed until this thread! Out of sight, out of mind and all that. I'm sure the wordsmiths will be hard at work again now, though.
