| | Is is the worst thing to happen in the last ten years? Granted, 9/11 was a bit of a bad 'un, as was the Tsunami but texting really gets on my tits I am as guilty as anyone for it, if I am honest, texting back and forth when a 30 second phone call could do the job much more easily. It's ruining the English Language (see CTID's racist ramblings for further evidence), causes mega arguments (through misinterpretation or drunken 3am messages) and even gives kids RSI I hate the fucking things and wish they had never been invented. I want to go back to my old Ericsson that didn't even have text messages Please feel free to discuss/ignore/add amusing text related anecdotes here

| I think texting is crap as well. I hate doing it, but at least you can still watch Granada reports whilst doing it. |

| I don't much like talking, so texting is a god send for me. Gets the job done in one message. As for RSI, think other habits might be the cause of that in young boys!
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking when I hear the silly things that you say |

| | I think texting has ended the age of romance as well. Gone are they days when someone would actually have to phone you or ask you face to face for a date, people will now just nonchalantly fire off a text. And first dates aren't waht they used to be - there used to be a time when you'd look forward to getting to know someone on a first date. These days people have texted that much in between being asked out and actually going out that they pretty much already know that person, and I have known instances where dates have been cancelled as a result of not liking the person so much after all (of course, you can really get to know someone's personality and character by text). Bring back old-school dating I say!!!
