| Born Unlucky (29/09/2006) MF: Yes, Oasis are popular cos they appealed to that particular generation and lad culture. They had a few good tunes, they made an album. That should've been it as far as I'm concerned. Every album since the first has been a regurgitation. They aren't inspired. They aren't genius. As for the Beatles, everything Cloudy said and more.
Cloudy: I take issue with the Rolling Stones...
"Angie....Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangie...."You are right they never were genious or inspired, but captured the imagination when the music industry didn't know its arse from its elbow. They had a stonking album a set of cracking b-sides and several half albums since. It's a generational thing and they are my first love, so to speak and I sharnt be swayed. It intrigues me that you detest The Beatles yet offer little concrete proof of the dross you claim they produced. I refer you to my answer to Cloudy, do you disagree with what I said? Maybe me and you simpley like completely different music. I think something else lies beneath!

| | Musical tastes are like fingerprints. No two people are identical. Btw, I'm not trying to sway you. I still can't understand why people don't have as good a taste in music as I do, but I gave up trying to influence people long ago (take note Bassman).
Just one more thing. I was in my early twenties when Oasis hit the scene. You must've been 10 at most. They very much my generation.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking when I hear the silly things that you say |

Well my first forrays into the music world were Roxette and ACDC. Do I win or lose? (still got a soft spot for ACDC )

(still got a soft spot for ACDC ) Nothing wrong with AC/DC
you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal
