Cardigans forever (05/10/2006)
Sisters of Mercy - Floodland

Haven't heard that in years. Used to like SOM and the like. Thought Floodland was a bit of a commercial sell out though.

It's crap ... In my humble opinion of course.

.

Aye it is, but they did do some good stuff. Can't understand why these Goth bands sold out in the mid 80's. The Mission are another example.

The SOM were a brilliant band in their day. Saw them play live loads of time's in the early 80's ... brilliant they were, for about 3 years.

Personally, i do prefer 'Some Girls wander by mistake' - that's a very dark, brooding affair.

Their cover of 'Gimme Shelter' is a classic!

I like the Mission as well.  I like 'Carved in Sand'.  Is it just me or does Wayne Hussey sound a bit like Bono?
