Cost: £757m
Capacity: 90,000
35 miles of power cables inside
Could hold 25,000 double decker buses
Arch weighs the same as 10 jumbo jets

Ah, the international standard measurement units of double decker buses and jumbo jets. Sweet baby Jesus.

If you didn't know, and shame on you if you don't as it is a standard unit of measurement, a 747 weighs around 400T.

The article on the beeb yesterday gives the impression that it isn't as impressive inside as you would have thought, they said it feels small.

Tenner says it won't be ready for the FA cup also.

Front page of a paper yesterday (cant remember which one) said Gordon Brown will wait until he is PM to announce that the Olympics will cost... 10 billion pounds.

Fuck up in waiting that one. After all the years of preparation for the bid, they had forgot to take into account the cost of regenerating the South Bank and a £1b VAT bill. Daft fuckers.
