The Cardigans Rock (26/09/2006)
Paul Weller has done some decent stuff solo (8/10), also done some stuff that's a bit ropey(5/10).  The Jam were of course excellent, for the most part(9/10).  The Style Council were abysmal (deduct 5 points).  Weller's a bit of an ugly mush, so deduct 5 points.

= total pointage  17 points

The Cardigans last two albums have been their best, even though nobody has cared to notice(9/10).  Nina is worth 10 points alone.  The musicianship is truly outstanding on everything (8/10).  And, the solo A Camp album is a real diversity which is cool (7/10)

= total pointage  34 points

The Magnificent cardigans win by 34 to 17.  So there's your answer.

But you forgot to deduct 17 points for Nina being a lezzer (fact) so it's a draw, they're as shite as each other.

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

Nina ain't a lezzer, re-add 17 points.  they are such a cool band they talk to fans on their website so add another 10 points on.  Bass player Magnus has even given me some tips on sound for the bass at a gig so add another 5 points on.

Total Wonderful Cardie pointage = 49 points

I thank you.

OK. I'll give Faith No More 1000 points for being generally ace, so they beat both of them.

Because they are quite simply the best band in the world.  Nothing more, nothing less.
