Suppose even though Weaver has been doing a top job Isaksson gets a start as we bought him as No1 keeper?? Not sure what message that gives out for rest of team as far as competing for positions is concerned??

IMO Jordan has done enough at LB to retain his place Distin would definitely go as he don't like playing there.I think competition for LB should probably be between Jordan and Onuoha. That leaves Richards to compete with Distin and in case of injury a replacement for Dunn.Or as a replacement for Trabelsi who is a class act but prone to injury.

The only change that leaves for me is who to put in midfield I guess I'd go for Hamann even though he has been off the pace at times,he brings a level of experience at the very lest and I see Barton working well with him.So my ideal squad with all fit would be.

Weaver

Trabelsi Dunn Distin Jordan

Sinclare Barton Hamann Miller

Samaras Corradi

Subs.

Isaksson Richards Ireland Vassell Dickov

Hard on Richardson I know but I still think he could get time on the pitch in MF or defence. If I had to field him it would be at RB for Trabelsi.

PB more irritating than Cilit Bang and Bassman.

Isaksson

Richards  Dunne  Distin  Jordan

Sinclair  Barton  Hamann  Beasley

Samaras  Vassell

-------------------

Corradi hasn't done enough to convince me he is good enough to start games and neither has Dickov.  Start matches with Samaras and Vassell and then perhaps replace them with Corradi and Dickov respectively. I'd see how Isaksson went, give him a run out but it will be hard to remove Weaver as the no. 1 keeper.  Trabelsi might start games at RB but I'd keep Richards there because he has deserved it and he is better defensively and can attack well.  A fit Hamann is better than Dabo imo but I'd swap them two around as Hamann won't play every match.  Beasley should start games on the left but if not Miller is a good enough replacement and theres always Vassell for that position.  Keep the two centrebacks the same.  I'd give Ireland a runout as well, he is a great talent and plays more attacking football.

I'd stick with Samaras and Corradi up front, as they are our most successful partnership of the season so far, and Corradi's hold up play and passing has impressed me.

if it ain't broke don't fix it. Keep the team the same until someone/thing gives you reason to change it. Without a consisten eleven, you won't get any consistency on the pitch.

Good point. We looked more like a team on Saturday than we have done in a long time. I think the same team should start against Everton.

Isn't it now over 90 games since Benitez played the same team at Liverpool? I know they have done quite well but it makes you wonder how much nore consistent they might have been if they had a settled team. If everyone is fit then I see no reason to change the team against Everton.

For the Everton game clearly we should keep the same side, but that wasn't the question. What side would you pick if everyone was fit. This would be my choice.

Weaver

Richards Dunne Distin Jordan

Trabelsi Barton Dabo Miller

Samaras Corradi

I don't think Weaver deserves to be dropped to be honest. Trabelsi is more than capable of playing in midfield and can drop back to cover Micah, when he bombs forward. Dabo for me looks a better bet than Hamann at the minute and Miller has just picked himself, although I would like to see a bit more of him. As for Corradi, I like him. He is physical and can take a lot of the attention away from Samaras, because although he has ability Big George is a bit of a pansy and can get bullied out of games, so Corradi complements him well in my opinion.

I agree except that I think Isaaksson will be our best choice keeper in time. Weaver is a good stopper but does not seem to command his area or organise his defence as well as he should. I don't think it is any coincidence that we have been conceding from freekicks so often. Having said that we have kept 3 clean sheets already which is probably as many as all last season!!

This gets my vote - I like Sincs but he's getting a bit slow now and Sam and Bernie look to be clicking up front
