Whether Pearce thinks he'll do a job or not, there are people, including me, who don't. You pay your money and you make your choice and if you don't like what you see you let them know. Why is that people think that we have to like players just because they play for City? If they're not good enough, they're not good enough whatever colour shirt they're wearing. I don't want to fall about it, I just believe that everyone's entitled to an opinion.

Maybe a bit of a booing would help some players to realise that we're not happy with their performances and encourage them to do something about it. The fact that someone is wearing a blue shirt doesn't make them automatically exempt from criticism. And no, I didn't boo Reyna, but I can understand those who did.

The fact that someone is wearing a blue shirt means we get behind them and support them. If the player isn't good enough and you boo him it will affect the whole team. Do you think they need a little knock of confidence at the moment? Give me a break.

If SP plays Reyna, he obviously thinks he'll do a job. Why boo Reyna for that?

I can't understand understand anyone booing in those situations; it brings the whole team down and you must see that. Especially when the team's confidence might be low anyway!

Nobody has suggested you have to like a player. But i presume you want them to play well? Booing won't help.

I wouldn't boo a City player ever.  It doesn't matter how crap the player, and there have been a few crap uns.  At least they are trying to play for your team.   McSpanner was the exception.

As I said, I didn't boo him, but, seeing as he's been playing badly, I can't blame the people who did.

I think the boos were justified, in that Miller had come into the side, done well, the team played a whole lot better as a result, and surely the better option to maintain balance would have been Beasley? Me thinks the boos were partly for SP and his decision, and not just Reyna. If you don't say owt then you don't get yer point across. There's little doubt SP brought Reyna on to tighten things up. Well, SP started with Reyna away to Chelsea, Blackburn and Reading for much the same reason and 8 goals against in those 3 games shows it DOES NOT WORK! Does anyone seriously want to see Reyna starting on the left wing against Everton? If you do you need your head seeing to. Thats why I was annoyed at Reyna coming on (though I did not boo). Because it hinted at the fact that SP still sees him on the left wing as an option, particularly when we want to keep things tight (such as away games) and it suggested to me that Reyna may well be brought back into the side in that position on Saturday. That is why I think people were booing, and that is why I think the fans getting their point across is justified.

I take on board the comments about it effecting the team and their performance, but better to run that risk at 2-0 up than to let SP carry on thinking Reyna is an option on the left wing.

I didn't boo Reyna, have never booed a City player and probably never will, but I do agree with those who have pointed out the difference between booing an unpopular player who nevertheless gives it his all (Reyna, Sibs) and those who are just coasting along for the ride and lining their pockets, or have done something to anger the fans.

Having said all that, though, I think BU makes a good point about it not necessarily being Reyna as an individual who was being booed, but the decision to stick him on the left.  We now have two players who can occupy that left wing, the main problem being that both are inexperienced in the Premiership.  So it was a bit disappointing to see Reyna continue to be played out of position if SP decided it was time for Miller to come off (fair enough decision in itself).  I'd have liked to have seen Beasley get a bit of a taste of action when we were actually winning a game and build up a little more match fitness.  Had we been under pressure then I could see the value in tightening up the midfield, but to be honest the Hammers weren't really testing us that much and I think it would have been an ideal opportunity to give Beasley a run.
