Maybe a bit of a booing would help some players to realise that we're not happy with their performances and encourage them to do something about it. The fact that someone is wearing a blue shirt doesn't make them automatically exempt from criticism. And no, I didn't boo Reyna, but I can understand those who did.

The fact that someone is wearing a blue shirt means we get behind them and support them. If the player isn't good enough and you boo him it will affect the whole team. Do you think they need a little knock of confidence at the moment? Give me a break.

If SP plays Reyna, he obviously thinks he'll do a job. Why boo Reyna for that?

I can't understand understand anyone booing in those situations; it brings the whole team down and you must see that. Especially when the team's confidence might be low anyway!

Whether Pearce thinks he'll do a job or not, there are people, including me, who don't. You pay your money and you make your choice and if you don't like what you see you let them know. Why is that people think that we have to like players just because they play for City? If they're not good enough, they're not good enough whatever colour shirt they're wearing. I don't want to fall about it, I just believe that everyone's entitled to an opinion.

What if that player you were booing was McSpanner?

If he's playing in a Man City shirt then it's out of order. If the manager plays him, how can we boo him?

It only succeeds in making the whole team suffer and we'll suffer as well.

I will never understand it and it's well out of order. (Previous situations agreed!)

But McSpanner, was the most idle, lazy, money grabbing, non-caring twat that ever pulled on a City shirt.  I found it very difficult to even accept him being on the pitch, let alone cheering the wanker on.  Useless.

I couldn't ever hate any City player - even Lee Bradbury.  He just wasn't good enough.  But, McSpanner just couldn't even be bothered, so i couldn't be bothered not booing him.

There's obviously a division on this and yes, it is about opinions. (You just happen to be wrong! )

Just kidding.

The big problem I have with the booing, like I said before is that it will affect the other players. On Saturday, anything silly could have shattered the confidence of the entire team and not just the player you (or whoever) choose to boo.

TBF, Reyna did a decent job on Sat, made the midfield tighter, defended and released well. He is a very clever player, but I don't think many people realise the job he does. He's not the best player we have, but he is good cover.

It's like when the boo boys got the better of Edghill all those years ago. It drove him and I believe the team down. Every time he played a wrong ball he had fans on his back, no wonder he was nervous, but that feed through the team; it's infectious.

We are trying to get the team, to be a 'team'; how can we help that by aiming our protest at one player?

Let's get behind the team and see how we do!

Booing does not do any good as it affects other players and therefore the performance of the team. Reyna is poor but he is professional enough to give his all every time he plays and people should respect that.

I would never have booed Edghill.  He just wasn't good enough, which wasn't his fault, not a lack of effort.  He always wore his City shirt with pride and that's all you can ask for.

McSpanner was different.  he was here for the ride, and one last big pay day, and never showed one ounce of the talent that made Real Madrid sign him.
