| | Those who boo'd Claudio Reyna against West Ham were out of order. To boo a player who is playing for your club isn't right in my opinion. I've done it once in nince seasons...Joey Barton last season at the Newcastle game after he had handed in his transfer request. Then when the game started i backed him and supported him. Maybe you could just give a player a round of applause when he comes on? No one clapping would make the same statement as booing him, without making the ones doing it look like nob heads.

| Silence would never work because there will be some who want to clap, some who don't and not clapping doesn't get you heard. Booing does

| Reyna is poor anyway and i'd have liked to have seen Beasley come on.

| Booing is an absolute disgrace in those situations (It was SP decision afterall FFS!) and can only work against you. The Barton situation was different, I stayed quiet and others booed, which I was fine with because of what he had done.
But to boo Reyna, who is actually a decent player if you'd actually bleedin' notice, just serves to say that you're as stupid as you sound.
I'm guessing he played Reyna to tighten the midfield; Beasley is a similar player to Miller in that he'll run at defences and maybe stretch the side. The last thing we needed yesterday was for WH to get a goal becuse we were out of position.
Anyway, booing; leave it out on those occasions. |

| The issue of whether a layer is shit isn't the point at all, he's still a player doing his best for Manchester City, as was Sibierski. He was also shit...but he tried. If you honestly believe players don't try their best then you are seriously wrong...effort should at the very least be appreciated.

| tha bassman (24/09/2006) What if that player you were booing was McSpanner?
If he's playing in a Man City shirt then it's out of order. If the manager plays him, how can we boo him?
It only succeeds in making the whole team suffer and we'll suffer as well.
I will never understand it and it's well out of order. (Previous situations agreed!) |

| | I can accept when a player has done something seriously wrong, ie Barton. And when a nob head comes back to play against you, ie Andy Cole. But to boo your own player just for being shit isn't right. Just my opinion of course

| All that booing Hargreaves endured doesn't appear to have done him any harm

| Maybe a bit of a booing would help some players to realise that we're not happy with their performances and encourage them to do something about it. The fact that someone is wearing a blue shirt doesn't make them automatically exempt from criticism. And no, I didn't boo Reyna, but I can understand those who did.
