I really wouldn't change the way we have played away from home. Lets get it right, it was defensive lapses and set pieces that have been our undoing recently (Reading, Blackburn). Our general football has been quite good.

You can line up as defensive as you like, but if it's mistakes you are making, then formation doesn't matter one jot!

Keep a winning team and stop making stupid mistakes!!!

Dunno - could work

           Weaver

Richards Dunne Distin Jordan

            Dabo

Sinclair Barton Hamman Miller

          Samaras

That's the same formation Arse played against the Rags.

I think it could work well but would probably be more effective with Dickov causing trouble up front.Barton may be able to run forward as a second forward player on occasion.

PB more irritating than Cilit Bang and Bassman.

But I would not be confident that Dickov could score, I feel we need some goal threat which IMO is Samaras but if not Corradi has shown a few glimpses, particularly with headers.

Doesn't show alot of ambition does it?

What about when we play the likes of the rags and Arsenal?? A fucking 6 man midfield with nobody up front??

I don't like all this adapting your team to suit the opposition. You should play your own game and force them to adapt to you

Got be honest IMO not changing some aspect of team selection / tactics would be naive in the extreme.I don't see any other team in the Prem doing this unless you think of teams who consistently play long ball and then charge back to get 10 men back.Usually struggling teams fighting not to be relegated.

I don't like the thought of being wholly defencive either but I am sure we would all like to see us build on last weeks win and a clean sheet against Everton would IMO be just that.

We must defend as we did against Arse and as already been said stop the ferkin stupid mistakes.

I agree to some extent but I think Dickov would be more committed to the amount of running a single striker must to do.Maybe a substitution after an hour  or so with Samaras or Corradi fresh legs??

Corradi works very hard and is good at holding the ball up, he's also very good at getting free kicks. I just don't see what Dickov brings to the team that Corradi doesn't. Sorry, I just don't rate Dickov.

Enthusiasm, work rate, loyalty, team spirit, professionalism, experience, never say die attitude and the ability to really piss of defenders to name but a few positives.I'm not saying he is a better striker than either Freddy or Corradi just a better man for the job of lone forward this Sat if that is the way SP sets out the team.IMO

According to the MUEN, Trabelsi may be fit tomorrow. Now I wouldn't straight back into the starting line up, he has to work for it like the others, but he is one quality player we need available. For me his return would spell the end for Trev, at least on the right of midfield.

You're right. I don't see Trabelsi outing Richards from RB but he's just as good on the RW and can track back to cover well.

Let's hope he sticks with the same team and his comments are just to mislead Moyes! But I doubt it.
