Made the difference yesterday for me. Hope it wasn't a one off.

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

He was great. Must be terrifying having him charging towards you as a defender. Your not going to knock him off the ball are you?

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

Big strong lad and fast with it, did a great job.

Have our prayers for a left winger been answered?

If he carries on like that then they may have been. As Cloudy says, if you were a defender he'd make you worried due to his size, strength and pace.

I only saw the highlights yesterday and sure, he looked good. When I have seen him before that he looked to have little confidence and seemed reluctant to take people on - really surprising considering his pace. I guess that was inexperience combined with a lack of confidence. He has obviously been told to start running at defenders and he looked awesome yesterday.

Can anyone who has seen more of his play than me comment on his crossing ability? Our lack of quality balls from the left has been one of our low points this season.

We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars

Can't comment on how he has been crossing this season but last year for the reserves he tended to shoot first rather than cross....I suspect that won't change.....

Ishmael Miller has been describing his feelings about his memorable performance in Saturday's 2-0 win over West Ham.

The powerful teenager's eye-catching display, including the run from defence that set up Georgios Samaras' first goal, came in his first ever start for the senior side and speaking to mcfc.co.uk afterwards Miller could not hide his delight.

"It was a great feeling and a great day, it's one that I'll never forget.

"The crowd were tremendous, they gave me the extra lift I needed. They were like the 12th man and they really helped me through the game."

Miller had made four substitute appearances so far this season, and he knew just how crucial Saturday’s win was.

"What we needed to do was take our chances in the last couple of games, but we did that and the win was just what we needed.

"We got back on the right track, we are always tight at home and we don't concede many goals here. George's goals were great finishes and I'm really happy with the reception the crowd gave me when I came off at the end, it was a great day.

The 19-year-old was also modest when asked about the run that brought the crowd to their feet early in the second half.

"I just saw the space open up so I ran, and I knew I could outpace the guy with me. I thought the chance had gone when Dailly blocked me, but George got a nice touch and struck it brilliantly."

Keeper of the heretic's fork of doom.
