| Pure comedy stuff, this. He's pissing them off before he's even started. That's if they don't change their minds! Sven-Goran Eriksson has dropped another clanger by admitting that he is to become the new boss of Marseille - live on television. The Swede was heard by millions of viewers telling Djibril Cisse that he was about to take over the reigns at the French club. As Cisse was was being subsituted off in Marseille's 4-3 defeat in the Dubai Cup against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, the former England boss was heard asking him: "I am the next Marseille manager, do you intend to stay at my club?" The Swede hasn't made the best of impressions at the French club, and was thrown out of the training ground on Tuesday for attempting to talk to Frank Ribery. Eriksson's actions angered the Marseille staff, who quickly asked for security to escort him off the training ground. "It is funny to see that," said Marseille's director of sport Jose Anigo. "At the moment he is nothing. "One thing is certain, those kind of people don't know what Marseille is all about. L'OM are special to the town and people." Anigo has expressed his displeasure at the way Eriksson has behaved in the wake of the rumours circulating about his impending appointment. "I don't know if they are really interested in L'OM, but if he is to join the club, he will have to do it with more discretion and class," Anigo added. "He has invented a new way to sell himself and to communicate - to sound important in clubs where people already work." Eriksson has been out of work since leaving the England job last summer but is still under contract and being paid £6,500-per-day by the FA until he lands a new job.

Indeed, let's hope they get a move on and just bloody appoint him, even though he is doing his best to scupper the whole deal...

| Did you hear about the other one he has done on them? Went to a match and sat in the director's box! Two rows in front of the chairman/owner or however it works over there. They were pissed off with him. He said he was just having a holiday. What a nob.

| | Now this made me laugh. I do hope it's true! If Roman Abramovich still needs persuading that his spat with Jose Mourinho is a very bad idea, he should consider a report in The Guardian which claims that 'Sven-Goran Eriksson is turning down jobs in the hope of succeeding Jose Mourinho as Chelsea's manager in the close season.'
'The former England manager believes the current intrigue at Stamford Bridge may lead to a vacancy and he has cleared his diary in case a call comes from the Premiership champions.'
Sven's belief that he could return to English football with Chelski was apparently the reason why he recently rejected an approach by Marseille. Nor will modesty stand in his way. 'He is not restricting himself to Chelsea - he let it be known that he is also monitoring the situations at Real Madrid and Barcelona.'
Does he not know that he's been found out?

What a complete cock sucker !! Why would any of the clubs mentioned want him, after his oh so successful England reign ! Surely they would look at his tactics and say......Hmmm not really for us !!

| Turns out he was right about there being a vacancy at Chelsea in the near future, but he obviously wasn't holding out for them too much. The Marseille stuff really wasn't very dignified though, if those reports were true.
