| | All the papers are saying richards is going to chelsea for 18 million next week. As this is looking more likely by the minute (pretty much all the papers are saying its true) then it must mean that Pearce will have at least 10 million to spend in the transfer window. Surely we can bring some decent players in. I am worried we are going to lose richards and sign some absolute dross. Personally if we have to lose him then i want at least Dean Ashton from west ham, Shaun wright phillips on loan for the rest of the season and say wayne bridge for 4 million. We also need a midfielder who has some skill! Does anyone know how much we have to give Oldham? I know they have a sell on clause is it 20%? |

But Distin's on his way as he has demanded £50k a week and we've told him to fuck right off.

To replace him with a player half as good is going to be hard as no one decent is ever prepared to come to us. Especially if Richards leaves. I hope you're right about him staying but the rumours in the papers are getting stronger, plus our club is very good at ignoring its fans and cashing in. If wardle is looking at selling then he may be tempted to recoup some cash beforehand |

I was watching a Pearce interview on Sky in the summer and it looked like our club bottled it before Joey did and we upped the contract offer thats why he signed. We have to treat Distin like a new player who is available on a Bosman not as an existing player. When Mills was available on a Bosman we gave him stupid wages to make him sign for us. We need to do the same with Distin. I bet Newcastle will be sniffing around him in Jan. |

| | I'd be surprised if the club gives in. Pearce has said that he is willing to take the risk of Distin leaving. I think he wants people who want to play for the club, Distin appears to want to play for the money.

| | i think they want about 6 million. Chelsea are meant to be looking at Upson. I could see them maybe going for distin on a short term deal as they are a bit short at the back. However we won't get much for him. |

| | Not too sure how much they want. I think they'll let him go though as the gossip page on BBC said Newcastle are still interested so maybe Boro don't want to keep him. He'd be a risk though with the injuries he's been through. I'd rather look at him in the summer after he's played a full season to see if he's fully recovered. Chelsea do need a centre back. Mouriniho was going to play Drogba there but he didn't cos Shev is so crap at the moment. I wish he'd have done it, it would have been pure comedy especially if his defending is as some of his shooting. Anyone see that slice from Boxing Day?!?
