Odd how a clubs debt's can increase by £100m to £263m, and yet it's structure can free up more money to invest in the squad.

Maybe Mr Wardle should look at Arsenal's finance model??

Can only guess that they broke the bank to make the equivalent of the last payment on the stadium,and therefor couldn't refinance until the first game had been played there.Freeing up equity.

Surprised at any debt after the reported 800mill(i think ?) sponsorship deal with Emirates
