Chievo Verona are serious about attempting to prise Bernardo Corradi away from Manchester City. "Chievo remains my No1 team," said Corradi yesterday. "Yes, it would appeal to me to return."
Meanwhile, Corradi's agent, Moreno Roggi, can't see the deal happening due to the wages the striker enjoys at City. However, L'Arena di Verona says Corradi has confided to close friends he'd be prepared to take a significant pay-cut to return to Verona.

Man City takeover to deliver Pearce £30M warchest
tribalfooball.com - December 08, 2006

Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce could be handed as much as £30 million to spend if a takeover is successful.
The Daily Mail says Pearce will be given the spending power to turn Manchester City into a major Premiership force if the club?s board agree to a potential £70million takeover. It is understood that Wardle will agree to a deal only if he is satisfied that the new owners would provide substantial transfer cash, and it emerged last night that Pearce could be handed as much as £30m if the deal goes through.
Wardle said: "If the club can move on and it does need extra investment then we are open to anybody who wants to talk to us.
"If it means that I have to move on and go back to the stands to watch the games than that?s not a problem for me."
Sources at City suggested talks with the consortium have a 50-50 chance of being successful.
