I know what you mean about them getting special rates but I suppose they are hoping to attract new fans. Get them to a couple of games and they might end up going to all of them (can't see i the way we are playing) Anyway, it's all so positively bourgeois for Tarquin and Henrietta to go to a football match! Do you remember that story (I think someone posted it on the old forum a while ago) where someone had taken a Spanish mate to a game at COMS and upon leaving his mate simply said 'please don't ever take me there again'? Typical City story that! I took an American mate to City. He loved it (I think we beat Barnsley 4-0) but he couldn't believe I would put the contents of a meat and potato pie into my mouth

slart2002 (19/09/2006) Good enough for the students that they can get cheap tickets. I wish I could have got the same when I was a poverty striken student.
I wonder if any of them will meet Paul Calf in Mary D's.I hate students. (RDSP is an exception of course.) Me too (except RDSP and my brother of course)! Shouldn't have gone for a job at the University really, they're just so damn annoying, went out to buy my lunch earlier and ended up stuck behind a group walking at a snails pace, then get flyers for 'buy one snakebit, get one free' etc thrusted in my face, and then there's hardly any decent sandwiches left becuase they've claimed them all. And don't even start me on the ones that think the Higway Code doesn't apply to them and ride freely through the pelican crossings on their bikes regardless of the fact there are pedestrians crossing. Grrr, roll on the Christmas holidays!
Eat, drink and be Benny. |
