| | Just popped out to get some tickets for the upcoming I Am Kloot gig from the Academy Ticket Office in the Manchester University Students' Union. Whil I was waiting a noticed a poster advertising that you could buy City tickets from there too. Fair enough I thought, any encouragement for increased attendances can only be a good thing. Then I noticed the 'special student rate' that's being offered - if you have a valid library or NUS card you can buy tickets for the West Ham game for £5.50, yes that's right no typos there, £5.50!!!!!! It's an absolute joke, I'm almost tempted not to bother with Saturday's game now, why should us lifelong City fans have to fork out £30 odd quid for a game when some scrawny little southern student can pay a fiver for something he/she quite possibly has no real interest in!!!

Bums on seats BB. City would rather have one of the great unwashed in a seat than none at all. I guess the club feel that £5.50 may become £10 or more if they buy food or drink, although it maybe a struggle as the bars don't serve halfs. Maybe 2 or 3 of them could get together and share a pint. Anyway, no excuses, it's the great forum piss up and you are expected to attend.

| | I know what you mean about them getting special rates but I suppose they are hoping to attract new fans. Get them to a couple of games and they might end up going to all of them (can't see i the way we are playing) Anyway, it's all so positively bourgeois for Tarquin and Henrietta to go to a football match!

| Good enough for the students that they can get cheap tickets. I wish I could have got the same when I was a poverty striken student.
I wonder if any of them will meet Paul Calf in Mary D's.

Do you remember that story (I think someone posted it on the old forum a while ago) where someone had taken a Spanish mate to a game at COMS and upon leaving his mate simply said 'please don't ever take me there again'? Typical City story that!
