Reports in France suggest Bordeaux forward Marouane Chamakh is a target for Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce.

The unsettled Morocco international could be available in a loan deal when the transfer window reopens in January, with City also having the option of a permanent transfer.

And reports that City striker Bernado Corradi is set to return to Italy with Chievo Verona have added some credence to claims that Pearce could be in the market for a new striker.

Chamakh's Bordeaux contract does not expire until the summer of 2009, but rumours have persistently linked the player with a move away.

Lyon were once viewed as suitors, but the Premiership now appears a more likely destination.

I really really don't want to lose Corradi - he's been excellent for us, since the wigan game, and he looks happy on the pitch. Surely he's not off. That said, I can't see him ending his career with us.

It's practically Christmas today!

He's a bench warmer at best

107 appearances 26 goals thats a goal every 4 games, not good enough in my opinion particularly when scored in the french league....

he's only got 2 from 10 this season, i know your gonna say corradi & samaras, but if you bring someone else in and give him 10 games to settle.....its no good at all, bring in a player who plays in the premiership or championship or even scotland or one who has done before.....why not have a crack at larsson,

I agree. I think he's run his socks off for us. It'd be a shame...especially if he went back to Italy and banged in 10 - 15 goals before the end of their season.

I like him. He's a great target man, has a decent touch and as we have seen, he can finish. Off-load the Greek for me if any of the 2. If he threw a plate at the floor he'd miss!

How many times are we going to try foriegn players that've been untested in the premiership only for it to go wrong and have them stuck on the wage bill? Can understand that domestic players are expensive but there is a reason!

I'd sooner us go for someone from the lower leagues like Nugent, Healy or Eastwood, instead of another foreign import that may or may not do it.
