| | Watching the game yesterday and recently, Its has become very apparent that we are total shite at free kicks and that when we get a free kick in a decent area we just float the ball into the box. Surely we have someone who can have a good shot? Maybe I dont see so many games as everyone else, but the games I do, we just waste free kicks. The last free kick that someone really hit was last season when Dunne smashed the ball in and it was disallowed for some crap reason, but I cant think of anyone else and Barton seems to take them all and not the most successful either !! Anyone??

| | we have plenty of players that can smash the ball but lack a creative midfielder who can bend it.

| | Hamann. He took the free kick that deceived 'Spunky' at Wembley for Germany v England. That's about it though. We haven't anybody who can take corners, or even cross the ball. it doesn't look good, i have to admit. |

| We just don't seem to worry the other teams with our set pieces, its embarrassing at times too !! The only time recently from corners is because of Micah !!

I'd say Hamann is about our best free kick taker at the moment.

| | Hamann's probably our only freekick taker. Some of the others can't even pass it straight. |

Some of the others can't even pass it straight.I would usually laugh at the idea of a professional footballer not being able to pass a ball straight, unfortunatly though it's true. I've been going since division 2 and i've never seen a city team great at set pieces. Kevin Horlock could hit one now and then, Tarnat hit 2, plus one lucky deflection, Sibierski scored a couple and Anelka wasn't too bad. In terms of corners we were great when we had Steve Howey getting on the end of them. Generally we're poor at them.

| Baffled me why he wasn't taking the kicks on Sunday - he's got to be the obvious choice - mind you , I've only been watching football for about 25 years so what do I know

| City have been rubbish at set pieces for as long as I can remember. Sure, we've had the odd player who could do sommat with the ball on the odd occasion, but generally free kicks, corners and throw ins are wasted as we've always been clueless as to what to do with them. We also seem to be rubbish at defending set pieces these days. Hey ho.
