| On form we are playing as bad a football as we ever have since being promoted. Thats not pretty. We arent near safe yet either, we have to start finding a source for goals.
Corradi and Samaras will both be good for around 10 this season, Dickov and DV less. We relying on our captain and the odd MF goal to save us?
Something needs to drop. Creative MF is the answer. I am sure I have been saying that for the last 3 transfer sessions...

| | I watched the game and barton was brought down by a deliberate trip - outside the box and worthy of a free kick, but it was never going to be a card or a penalty. We played well, defended solidly for the most part and created as much as is possible when you play 1 up on his own. We went for a draw and would have got it it if it wasn't for Barton poor pass to Distin, Distin slow to react and run to the ball and Gerrard having a great strike (shame he wasn't on the wing). Corradi came close a couple of times, Samaras had a great effort turned around the post that was head for the top corner and Beasley lost his bottle at least twice when getting close to goal. Reyna even had 2 atempts on goal. I thought we deserved a point. But possession was about 65% Liverpool. We lacked a balanced attacking force - 1 up front with no width and no pace just meant we compacted the game and played deep. 1st half was boring. I heard we have lost 16 out of the last 18 away games

| | Did Beasley play? I thought he missed the game injured. Silly me. Can't say too much about the peformance against Liverpool, i only have reports to go off. I don't really trust reports anyway. I won't predict a formation for Villa, but we will win 2-0.

| Yes, I meant Tribelsi, sorry. I hope we get a win at Villa but our away for must be impacting on the team spirit - we are probably on some club record for least points gained from last 20 away games. Barton was so frustrated by the end of the Liverpool game, you could see it in every aspect of his game for the final 5 minutes - I wonder if he is regretting commiting to the club now ? Distin played well - If he goes we are in big trouble - he is quick enought o match most strikers, we need him to stay.
