I still think that we are all expecting too much, no matter who is manager !!

Do you not think its fair that if he can maintain premiership status whilst on a shoe string budget that he deserves a go when we have got some money?

I think that we are being a bit fickle and that our expectations are a little high. Without substantial backing, we will struggle to get higher than 7th, its reality.

Where do we expect the team to finish realistically ?

okay we just lost two games where we should have got points, but whats new? We still have players to come in and time for the new ones to get an understanding with the others, sometimes it takes longer.

Sacking the manager now or January isn't going to help in the long run and I for one would rather not have the managerial merry go round that we have seen in the past, it brings us nothing but pain in the long run !!

Seriously hope it doesn't come to it again but I think we could be looking at a situation where the only reason behind us not being close to relegation is that other teams are more crap than we are.I think one of our biggest problems will be getting something like the team SP wants to start for a few games in a row. There are a lot of new personnel in the squad and I think it will take time for them too jell.

That was the point, and I think on our day we can beat anyone, Arsenal, Chelsea or Manure. We are just not caple of doing it every week and will not finish any higher than 7th or 8th if we are really lucky.

If we can afford to buy the Johnsons or Ashton's, Malbranque's of this league then we can push for 5th, but any higher will take a nigh on Miracle.

We are looking at anywhere between 17th and 9th Realistically !!

I don't think anyone on here is overeacting. Most people are saying that if we are in trouble come Xmas/Jan then we need to do sommat. We DID have the money for Ashton, we just chose to spend it on Samaras (not that I have a problem with that, just wish SP would show some faith). Point being, come Xmas and almost two years in charge, there'll be no more excuses for SP. We can't afford to make excuses for him. We can't afford the drop and so although many of us would like to see him stay, City are the number one priority here.

I also don't think anyone is expecting too much. Surely no one seriously expects us to be finishing anywhere near the top 6, and so Europe is most unlikely. I think all any of us really want is for City to stay up, and as things stand anywhere between 8th and 20th looks a possibility.

I cant agree more BU, I just think we are quick to judge sometimes. Who would come in and how long would it take them to put their flavour in the squad? I have too many memories of managers coming and going and its not been very good for the club or fans.

I think we are making progress, albeit very slowly and the results are what matter. We are in the premiership and building towards a brighter future. I am sure we all want to win something, but realistically its never going to be the league.

A place and a good run in Europe or a cup are at best our only chance.

Unless the rules of the games change and they cap players wages, transfer fee's then the likes of Chelsea and United are always going to be too strong to compete against. Liverpool and Arsenal are having trouble keeping up with the pace, so what chance have city got?

We can go on adnauseam about the players we should have signed and regardless of who we sign we could always spend more.SP has to do the job with the team he has.My concern is that last season we saw Wigan do very well with so called lesser players and as things stand Reading look like doing the same again. They play as a team.Football is a team game and as a team we should do better. I still don't think we will go down and probobly will finish someware about 10th.

Since January this year we've played 28 games thus far, (friendlies excluded), and we've won 8 games, 3 of which were in the FA cup.

Now that is a fucking disgrace.
