| | Now, I'm not advocating this but a lot of my mates who go on a regular basis are genuinely worried and are starting making noises about getting rid of Pearce. My own instinct is to stick with what we've got - too many managers in too few years and it probably takes a manager three years to produce a team. But do we have that long ? Relegation would be a disaster but would a change of manager make a difference ? If so, who is there that would do a better job?

| It's a toughy. As you say it takes a new manager a while to sort the team out but we don't have much time.

| How about Curbs with trying to get SP to stay as his assistant? Perhaps we rushed him into full management too quickly, but I'd still like him at City in some capacity.

| Funnily enough that had crossed my mind as well - would Pearce accept it though and would Curbs want him there ?

| Timpblue (18/09/2006) Funnily enough that had crossed my mind as well - would Pearce accept it though and would Curbs want him there ?I don't think Curbs would have a problem as he knows the club, players etc... However it would be a demotion for SP and I don't think he'd be too keen.

| | You've got 2 hopes on this one and Bob's just left town. No way would Pearce accept that, he would walk without a doubt. I haven't got a problem with the team, only that SP has bought in Dickov and Corradi, both workers but not a goal threat. I think that Pearce bought Dickov for cover and Corradi to mix things up and really wanted Vass and Cole to continue up front together. Cole changed that by going to the Russian Sailors. Samaras needs to start with Dickov in my view. but we need to bring in a striker who can take chances which is SP's big downfall at mo becuase he let Cole go. My major problem is that even when all strikers are fit none have ever got more than 15 goals a season. This is not enough!
I gave Elano my Porsche and now I want it back! |

| | Other than one or two exceptions this is now SP's team. Although working to a tight budget he's brought in the players HE wanted and has changed the way we play. So now there are no hiding places, if it goes tits up, SP has to take the blame, I hope he, (and the team), turn it round, the question is, if he/they don't, how long do we wait to react??

Personally I'd give him a dozen league games before I start getting seriously worried about the team, if results continue as they are.
