| The Ghost Of Gibbi (25/04/2008)
slart (25/04/2008) I've seen them a few times over the years. The first time was in 1983. They were supporting Rory Gallagher. Bono decided to go to the barrier and sign autographs during Rory's set. I thought it was disrepectful of the stack-heeled ginger bollocks. Bono asked me if I wanted my ticket signed. I told him to "fuck off".Of the highest order if we're honest! If Keane did that during Bono's set, he'd do his nut! Don't think he's a squeaky-clean as is made out either Look at footage of U2 at the Self-Aid concert in Dublin in the early 80s. I'm sure its on youtube. Bono is quite "refreshed". This was an all-day event highlighting the dire employment situation in Ireland at the time. It was broadcast live by RTE the national tv station. He tried to give interviews but his minders pulled him away from the cameras evertime - The Edge hauled him away once as well. There are lots of stories doing the rounds about his antics with Andrea Corr, amongst others, and white lines in Lillies - a celebrity hang out in Dublin. I've heard he pays off local journalists to keep this carry on under wraps. I wonder if this post will be edited?!!
