Maybe more clubs should look to City as an example, especially when it comes to trying to get more kids youngsters to games. The under 16's currently paying £95 for a season ticket to watch City, will one day be adults paying £500+. Makes total sense, obviously these brummie twats just want the dosh from day one.

Villa defend ticket price rises

Aston Villa

Aston Villa have announced season ticket and matchday ticket price rises for next season.

The most expensive adult season ticket will rise from £475 to £510 while the equivalent matchday ticket has been increased from £35 to £39.

Nicola Keye, head of consumer sales at Aston Villa, told BBC WM: "For next season we continue to be among the cheapest in the Premier League."

"Our most expensive adult season ticket is under £27 per game," she added.

In addition, there will be no concessionary prices on matchdays or for new season ticket holders in central areas of the Trinity Road or Doug Ellis Stands.

But Ms Keye said the club are not trying to penalise young supporters: "If there are juniors that want to sit centrally in stands, they can do that at the two ends of the stadium for less than £200.

"If they want to sit centrally on the sides and don't have an existing season ticket then that will cost £510.

"But I have to say there are very few seats available in those areas and 99% are already occupied," she concluded.
