| Sven Goran Eriksson plans to offer Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson a new contract. The 20-year-old has again been linked with a move to Liverpool, with reports claiming Rafa Benitez is prepared to pay £12million at the end of the season. City boss Eriksson is fully aware of the rumours concerning Johnson, but has no plans to cash in on the youngster. Instead, Eriksson is keen to reward Johnson with a new deal at the club, even though it is less than 12 months since his current contract was agreed. Rumour"I have heard that same rumour ever since I joined the club last summer and we have still not been contacted by Liverpool," Eriksson told the Manchester Evening News. "It was only last summer that Michael signed a new contract and we have already said that we will talk about another one when this season is over." Johnson was a key figure in City's flying start to the season, but a two-month absence at the turn of the year coincided with the team's slump in form. |

| | Hahahahahhaaaaa what a load Ralph Bullocks. MEDIA reports have suggested Arsenal are in the hunt to sign Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson. The Sunday Mirror have claimed the 20-year-old could be on his way out of the City of Manchester Stadium because his advisors believe he is being underpaid, despite only signing his new deal last year. That is said to have alerted the Gunners, who could face stiff competition to sign the player with Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle also said to be interested in the former Leeds and Everton youth. Arsenal are planning a major bid for.

| Benny (20/04/2008) Here's to Michael Johnson.
Cheers.

I heard some quotes from Johnson's agent on Century tonight - he sounds a bit of an idiot. "We don't feel Michael's new contract reflects his worth." Why did you tell him to sign it then, fucktard?

That's a bit worrying, both his numptism and the haggling.

| It never fails does it. As soon as there's a hint of interest from somewhere else... How long's the contract he has now? I'd make him stick to what was agreed for at least half of it before talking about improvements. It's all too one sided. Look at Danny Mills and the contract he's had. And for what? There should be a clause, if you don't play for the first team for 12 months your money goes down.
Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany! |
