| | for once I thought my club was being run by reasonable grown ups who understood the game - apparently not The more I think about this - the more the sheer insanity of it staggers me let's hope the more seasoned members of the board are listened to

| Labmonkey (17/04/2008) Totally counter-productive. How is Sven supposed to get on with his job with this hanging over his head?Interesting that there's been no official word from City about Franks outburst. I can only assume that even Paul Tyrell is struggling to find an avenue to either deny what's been said or put some positive spin on it.

I always feared that a twat like Frank wouldn't be happy unless he could stick his oar in. Laughable attempts to buy Ronaldinho, attempts to bring over Thai "soccer stars" and now sack Sven. Next Frank will want to pick the team and play himself as centre forward. Sven will walk out of the club if he isn't allowed to manage. Slart - I owe you an apology - you weren't the only anti frank voice on here but you were the most vocal - it looks like you were right

Chelsea have chucked ££££ at the job over several years and still haven't achieved what Roman has set out to do. Anyone up for a 'Frank Out!' banner party pre-match Sunday?

I can only assume that even Paul Tyrell is struggling to find an avenue to either deny what's been said or put some positive spin on it. My first hope was that something had been taken out of context, e.g. the answers to two separate questions put together to make it look like he was criticising Sven, which is exactly what the papers want, but those words look pretty damning. Especially if the club hasn't distanced itself from the way things have been reported, looks like Frank may be following in the footsteps of Abramovic/Romanov in the school of unrealistic expectations

He said "we will assess the club and the people involved"-could mean players, need not mean Sven. Regarding players, he said "We'll probably have to sell some players and buy some new ones"-wouldn't everyone here agree with that?

He's not said he wants Eriksson out or that he is unhappy with him. He says he is disappointed with the second half of the season, as we all are, and then goes on to talk about the players and the need to strengthen. Let's not jump the gun here and wait to see what happens and whether the situation gets clarified. |
