It's not so much the people, it''s how much the watching audience bums them afterwards. Jade Goody got famous for being a thick twunt, and she's kept it up. She's 1 ugly mofo and it shouldn't be allowed I'm afraid.
It also annoys me that, in the world of X Factor, we have yet to see a genuine band make it, a band such as Bassy's 5LL, that actually play their own instruments and don't just sing!
Well, I think Leona Lewis is a really good singer. I haven't heard 5LL because Bassy won't send me a cd and refuses to tour Ireland cos he hates all Irish people.
Can't remember their myspace either... I wasn't suggesting Bassman take his band onto x Factor, I was simply stating that you never see people using their own instruments

However, I don't go along with the theory that if you play your own instruments and write your own songs you are better than someone who just sings and uses outside songwriters. Bands writing all their own songs has more to do with publishing rights than artistic reasons. The current line-up of Fairport Convention has no decent songwriters so they solicit songs from good songwriters. They certainly don't lack credibility. Steely Dan saw quite early on that their records would sound better using session players. As a result their albums, soundwise, are better than most from that era.
