It just sounds like your a metal group to be honest. Sounds like your branching out to the depressed youths of today through your crashing guitars and thundering drums and screaming vocals

There is a mid-table metal band called Shadows Fall.

Too closely sounding to them in my opinion... Sorry Coods, basically just shat all over it here. If it works for you and the band, fuck what we think, do your own thing!

I don't like it, I hate it. But I can't offer an alternative so it puts me in a shit position.

I thought it sounded like a support act, or even worse, a New Romantics act from the 80's.

Spandau Ballet, China Crisis, Talk Talk, Shadow Riots....

In answer to why the change from Kid Galahad, our last singer thought of it and wanted to keep it after we dumped her.

Kid Galahad sounds like an 80s prog revival name.  Good bands can have crap names (Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, Manic Street Preachers) but it is best to be avoided.

None of them bands you mentioned were good. It's ok, I'll just go with it, we'll get 3-4 months down the line, it'll start coming out how shit the name is, we'll change it, undoing 3-4 months of Myspace networking and we'll be fine

I resent that remark! Arctic Monleys is a great name, but the topicyou have just broached does deserve a thread!

"Great Bands, Crap Names"

Think even Oasis could go in there

Are you already on MySpace? Have a listen when it's up and running. Let me know!

Show your bandmates this thread.  Not one positive noise here.

I told you when we were in that pyar expensive bar on Piccadilly. Laura's history and I'm happy for it. We've got a top rate singer now and are just working on getting stuff together. Will post the Myspace when we have something to listen to on here for everyone to listen to
