| Jens Lehmann has vented his spleen over being left to stew on Arsenal's bench, after being overlooked for a 'man who didn't start playing until he was 30'. The outspoken goalkeeper has never been shy to make his feelings over his rival Manuel Almunia known, with his latest outburst coming in German publication Kicker. Lehmann, who hopes to start for Germany in the European Championship this summer, has grown disgruntled after playing second fiddle to Almunia since an early season blip in form and injury saw him demoted. The 38-year-old has directed his ire in the direction of both Almunia and his manager Arsene Wenger, who has in the past taken his goalkeeper's protestations in good grace. "I don't find it very funny being forced to sit on the bench for a man who didn't start playing until he was 30. I am very angry," he lamented in Kicker. "I stayed to win the Champions League and I saw a good chance of being able to play. The fact that I didn't made me extremely angry. "If the trainer had told me before the season started what was going to happen, then I could have decided whether or not I wanted to sit on the bench." |

| | Almunia hits Back... In an interview in the The Guardian, Almunia has spoken of his disappointment that Lehmann feels the need to so openly, and so regularly, voice his criticism. "I'm an easy-going person," he said. "I like to treat everyone with respect and I see everyone as equals. I treat people the way I would like to be treated myself. "To have someone here who hates me is just amazing. I know he hates me. "Every morning I wake up I know it is going to be the same. I've had to put up with it every day since he was out of the team and even before then. I wake up and I know what it is going to be like. "But I don't care about him any more. He can say what he likes. I come into training and I work with Lukasz Fabianski and Vito Mannone. They are better goalkeepers than him anyway." |

I like Almunia. Much better keeper than Lehmann. Lehmann is a cock.

| Lehmann is a cock.
Most of Germany agree with you, they wanted another Kahn, they got Lehmann.

| I agree on principle but watching the other night I had the feeling that Lehmann would have done better than Almunia under the circumstances in that particular match
you do not mess with Jack Reacher |
