He'll be like a new signing next season though.

Not too long ago a cruciate injury would have been career ending-in't advances in medical science brilliant?

Cure for cancer. Where is it?

Too busy on ManCityForum and adult baby sites I reckon.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

Are you sponsored by AZ at all?

And now I'm leaving the industry I can air this-they don't want to find cures for things, it's not economically sensible.  What they want is treatments.

Nah, no industry money in my project.

Treatments like the anti-TNF therapy that is extremely expensive and doesn't work in a large number of people...

AZ are big in both cancer and RA treatments I think-you should give them a call, get them to show you the money.

It's nothing like the money they give you lot, if they put anything into a project it's generally enough to cover a small amount of consumables expenses etc.  One of the students here has some money from Roche, but we're certainly not talking megabucks.  Then they get control over the project and presumably all the IP on anything that looks interesting.  I do have a contact at Merck, though, but don't have time to sort anything out with them at the moment - it'll have to wait.

Of course they should.  They won't though.  And it's your fault (well, maybe not you, but anyone who has shares in the company, or any company).

When I rule the world things'll be different.

The drug companies will spend more cash investing in mickey stiffeners than in a cure for cancer.

Tbf Viagra was a by-product of looking for something slightly more useful.  Still, the marketing costs...
