Born Unlucky (07/04/2008)
Benny (07/04/2008) I don't think he wants to play for us, which to me would be the bottom line.I don't think that is the case. Just think he wants to play regular footy. If he had that with us he'd have been fine. He'd have become a legend. He did have a good few whinges though didn't he? I am kind of with you as I thought he was pretty useful, and (my memory may be making things up here) his goal scoring record seemed ok-a bit of a poacher, which I think we need. I'd still rather have someone who really really wanted to be here. Maybe we should sabotage his time in Italy so he really wants to come back... Some people defend foriegners when they have a whinge by saying they were misquoted. Some say at least it shows they have passion and a determination to play in the first eleven. Others use it as an excuse to slag the player off and say good riddence (not accusing you). Tis whatevers most convenient really. I say nowts black and white and I say none of us really have a clue what he really thinks or wants. I say if he showed commitment and quality on the pitch, and for me he did, then I want him (not for man love*). *probably

We would do exactly the same I'm sure. He was deffo a looker though.

| I think he was way too slow and in a good few of the matches I saw he didn't put 100% in either.
Soft moaning bastard. If he really wanted to play for us he'd still be here fighting for his place, not swanning off back to Italy at the first chance he got.
Better off without him and use the money on someone who's actually going to make an effort for us.

| | I see he has been scoring a fair few for Lazio recently, however I still don't think he will be any good in the Premiership. |

You're obsessed with Crouch, but if you must make the comparison, Crouch seems far more able to play the solitary striker role, pace or not. If we can sell Bianchi and get half the funds needed to sign Crouch that would be an excellent bit of business.

Well hopefully we won't be playing a lone striker next season anyway, and we're apparantly getting 8 million back for Bianchi, Crouch is worth no more than that never mind double. Dirk kuyt makes the team before Crouch I think we can do a lot better.
