itd be very good.. uefa is a bit pants but it's a step in the right direction and you get some good teams in that. bolton had bayern and athletico this year. but it would be more about attracting better players.

Cool Cool Coolio...

Totally disagree man. I hear people call it the 'losers league' or whatever and they can fuck off. The fans LOVE it (as would I), it gives a new flavour to following your club, plus injection of money, plus helps to attract new players and often the matches offer excellent football. My opinion is there is nothing pants about it, Champs league, aye that'd be great (if we were ready) but the idea of following my team around Europe gives me a fat one.

And if we eventually want to compete in Champs League this is the perfect place to 'cut our teeth' and try and gain some pedigree.

the uefa cup has been ruined by so many clubs being allowed into the champs league. then it was made worse by adding a group stage to it.

the champs leage is set up to keep the top teams at the top, it's pretty hard for a top team to get knocked out, they get so many chances to redeem themselves if they cock up. the uefa cup is trying to copy it but is just pointless. a group of five, play each other once, so luck of who you get at home or away. and the top three go through. then you play the teams that got knocked out of the champs league. its nonsense.

all cup competitions should be knock out throughout.

the g14 clubs or whatever it is called should not be allowed to form this group and have a say on how european comps are conducted. their opinion should be held as highly as a championship team's opinion on what the layout should be.

Cool Cool Coolio...

Same. All we need is for Nice to excel or Marseille to get us as opponents, and I'll have a few visitors I reckon.
