'Especially in Michigan' by the Chili's.

Had the tune on repeat about 6 times now.  Fruciante's guitar parts are fookin awesome.  Bet you didn't need to know that.

And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight,
'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight.

Just had a listen, sounded like 6 other RHCP songs jammed in a blender and spurted out under a newly named song. Much like all their stuff now. Yawn fest

Blood Sugar Sex Magic. One of the best albums of any band ever. Truly immense. Nothing else they've done has really come close. True, Mother's Milk and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan were good efforts, but not as funkily polished as BSSM. It's been all downhill from then.

Superb band live, and they seem to have the ability to convert their live energy onto CD. As to BSSM being their greatest album, I think Californication is a huge rival. By The Way was enjoyable, but not as good as either of these. They need to go back to their roots and start again, at a similar stage as BSSM and Californication

the tune is so powerful, and the guitar soars and screeches in the finest way possible.

Agreed about the live bit. One of the better bands I've seen live. Can't go along with Californication though. Too derivative for me. A couple of decent tracks but not even close to the depth of quality of BSSM.

I think they just started playing for an oversaturated market and changed their style to suit. The original Chilis were just that. Original. Now they're almost a parody of themselves.

Head. Nail. They're the American equivalent of U2. Stadium meh-dom.

Emigre, I don't think I could have said it better myself.

I would definately go and see them again. I still think their music is good, just agree when you say it isn't as good as it used to be

I prefer their later stuff, not keen on all that funk thing at all.
