| Lukas Podolski alert for Manchester City

Lukas Podolski has put Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson on red alert - by revealing he plans to quit Bayern Munich. City boss Eriksson had a £14million bid for the German striker rejected during the January window.
But Podolski, 22, has now vented his anger at repeatedly being left out of Bayern's starting line-up.
"I'm sick and tired of sitting on the bench at Bayern," he fumed.
"Manchester City wanted to buy me in January, but Bayern refused to let me go. I thought that was because they valued me.

Hope this is true because I'd love to see him at City but who knows with the media.

| We need someone who's gonna inspire some belief that the club means business. The players need to know that nobody is there for the ride and everyone has to pull his weight and prove his worth, otherwise they'll be replaced by someone who will. I know thats easier said than done but, the players do need to know the old days of playing out your time at city and picking up your weekly paycheck without any real expectation to win or challenge for anything are gone.
