Hi there fellow citizens,

I am planning my first football trip to Manchester and looking forward to see the match played 20. april against Pompey. I'm traveling from Finland with my brothers and thus need four tickets in total.

Is there any City fans here who are familiar with the sale policies of the club? Although, the stadium seems to be sold out rarely, it would be nice to get the tickets in advance by mail. What would be the best way to make this happen? I possess no city card / membership / whatsoever. Is there going to be a public sale where I could get the tickets?

You shouldn't have any problems getting tickets, although you will need to buy 4 access cards at the same time. I suspect they'll go on sale mid next week, is they're not already, keep an eye on the official site.

Thanks for advices,

Just checked the official site and if I'm correct it says that "accesscard holders/general sale" is on. So is this now a public sale where anyone can phone in and get tickets? What are these accesscards? Is it different to city cards / memberships? How much do they cost?

Not sure of the cost but an access card gives you entry to the stadiun for just the one game. a City card is a season long membership, so only worth while if you're going to make it to more than one match.

Its possible to turn up on the day and buy tickets, for cash, for seats in the third tier. Good view, poor atmosphere though.

Finally managed to buy tickets through the box office. Colin Bell block 127, row G. Hopefully the seats are decent.
