Timpblue (31/03/2008) concurrance - these last two games are when teams with real hops of europe can take advantage of others slipping up - as it is whoever finishes seventh will probably get the Intertoto - I just hope it's not blackburnIf Pompey win the FA Cup i think intertoto would go to 8th place. Pompey haven't applied for an Intertoto place

| | In a nut shell. We should have had 2 penalties, they should have had none. We deserved to lose - couldn't break down a 10 man poor team. Elano spent the last 20 mins drifting in and out of the game, Sun looked out of his depth, We missed Petrov and Johnson so much. Looked like the team we were this time last year. half the team looked like they didn't care. Next week we'll play 5-4-1 and might keep the score down to 0-2. We look so static bunched lately. It woud be great to seem City up for it and come out wanting to win...............

I understand the need to vent , but bear in mind were missing 3 out of our normal back 4 . Feel free to rant that weve been turned over by a side that are scrapping for their lives , but bear in mind no ones said this teams the finished article . In fact we all know its a long way from it . What I dont understand is how playing x posters favourite forwards , would suddenly make our defence solid or our midfield create more chances . The squads paper thin we cant afford to be without so many first team players , Micah , Petrov , Corluka , Ball . Only time money and patience will resolve theese issues . This gets my nomination for "Most Rational Post". It's sort of out of place at a time like this. |

I'd agree with that.

| I have to say that Saturdays result was poor all round. We were crap, bad decisions from the ref aside, we just didn’t create enough, especially against ten men. The Midfield looked rubbish and created nothing. Geo looked bright when he came on though and I would start him in front of Elano against Chelsea, who again did nothing. Mr Dunne and Ned can not play together in the centre, it just does not work. If Corluka is fit, put him in the middle and use Ned’s pace on the right. Dunne had a bad game and some costly mistakes, but the others didn’t help any. Id be well pissed off if I was Benjarni, no support from Midfield and a thankless task upfront. Caicedo or whatever his name is also looked bright when he came on. I still don’t understand why we don’t have Etuthu or Logan on the right or on the bench, both give us more right sided options.
